My series of Christmas solo suggestions continues! And this one is for.....drum roll...the BARITONES!
Sooo...if you're a guy with a medium to low voice, read on! I have nine amazing Christmas solos that would be perfect for you!
The good news, my baritones, is that many baritones are well-known "Kings of Christmas"....so these nine Christmas solos are only the beginning !
1) The Christmas Song- Nat King Cole
Nat. Ahhh, what a baritone he had. One of my favorites, to be honest. He's timeless and hearing his voice is like feeling a warm blanket around you. Do you agree?
2) There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays-Perry Como
This song is just especially good when sung by a baritone....like Perry Como, OR Robert Goulet, or the many others that have covered it....and maybe you?
3) Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!- Dean Martin
Dino. One of my other favorite timelessly cool baritones, although another legendary baritone (Bing Crosby) also has a wonderful rendition!
4) It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas- Bing Crosby
Der Bingle- true legend. One of the most iconic Christmas albums ever ever, and a baritone extraordinaire! Michael Buble is an example of contemporary baritone who has also performed this song.
5) Believe- Josh Groban
This beautiful song from the movie "Polar Express" is a wonderful holiday season ballad that I've always loved. In fact, I wish I heard MORE baritones sing this one!
6) Jingle Bells- Frank Sinatra
Yes, it's true, like ALL Christmas solos, there are only a zillion versions of this song out there- but Frank puts a unique swingin' spin on his, so try his arrangement!
7) Blue Christmas- Elvis Presley
You KNEW I'd include Elvis on this list! So here he is, with his iconic Christmas song. Many others have covered it, including baritones like Blake Shelton and Michael Buble. Everyone loves this song, so if you choose this one don't be surprised if people wanna sing along with you!
8) Santa's Got a Choo-Choo Train- Blake Shelton
Speaking of Blake! This original country Christmas tune is amazing and fun for a country baritone who has a good backing band (or a good backing track-ha!)
9) Mr. Christmas- Brett Eldredge
He's country, but he's also classic swing! He's a baritone with major talent, and I just love his Christmas solos. Baritones, you NEED to check out his albums for ideas!
What do you think, baritones? Did you find the Christmas solo you needed? Hope so!
If you did and want help with it,
look no further! I'm here for you!
